Gravity

Gravity is an acrylic painting that explores the tension between weight and form through the lens of color and material illusion. Painted here in a blue and yellow spectrum, the composition begins with the crisp geometry of origami—a nod to traditional Japanese paper art—but gradually surrenders to the pull of gravity. As the folds descend, they appear to shift in substance, as if paper has transformed into clay, losing lightness and gaining mass.

This piece is part of my ongoing exploration of tactile perception and dimensionality. Through layered textures and visual weight, Gravity invites the viewer to consider how material and metaphor intertwine.
