For me, everything starts with color and the way it shapes our moods and perceptions. A certain blue can bring me peace. A flash of yellow might remind me of a taxicab in New York, or a summer afternoon that lives in memory but no longer on a calendar.
I create acrylic paintings that spark immediate joy and recognition—like a great poster—but also invite slower, deeper reflection over time. My work blends vibrancy and precision, with a focus on visual clarity that makes the subject matter easy to engage with and emotionally pure.
Before becoming a full-time artist, I spent years immersed in brand storytelling—an experience that taught me how small changes in framing or hue can dramatically shift a viewer’s response. I bring that same care to each canvas.
I’m especially drawn to subjects like global destinations, cultural symbols, and abstract interpretations of color, all influenced by my Japanese upbringing and multicultural life.
My hope is that my work gives you something to come back to: it grows with you, surprises you, and reminds you that beauty can be both powerful and playful, as well as visual and intellectual.
